Blake trotted home comfortably to put the Dodgers ahead, 1-0.Sometimes pitchers say their rhythm is thrown off when their offense scores too many runs.Of course, if you pitch for the Dodgers, that doesn't figure to be a problem.But there are other power balancemechanisms that can keep a pitcher off the mound for a long time, as Ted Lilly was reminded on Friday night in a game in which the Dodgers and San Diego Padres were tied, 2-2, through the middle of the sixth inning.Such as rain.Lilly pitched the first inning of the game, allowing two hits but inducing a pair of fly balls to prevent the opposition from scoring.
